Snow day!

Today we got dumped on by tons of snow - I think we got about 12 inches, but I saw on the weather channel that just 4 miles of Middleton there was a report of 17 inches! School was cancelled for Jordan and the university actually cancelled all classes and asked that all non-essential employees stay home so Nate got to spend the day with us too!

Every year I buy long underwear for the kids and we hardly ever have an opportunity to wear them. So today I told the kids that they could wear them for our snow day - I have never seen two people so excited about long underwear (or long underpants, as Maya calls them).

We also made some yummy blueberry muffins for snack time.

Tonight we got all bundled up and headed outside to play in the snow. The kids had a great time until Maya's boot came off - she was not too pleased with the cold snow on her sock. Jordan and I stayed outside for a little longer until his boot came off too - we figured that was our sign to go in and sit by the fireplace.
