Farmer's Market

This past Saturday we went to the Farmer's Market and ended up running into my old co-worker Jen and her family. Her and I had gone to scrapbook at Archiver's the night before but had not made any plans to meet up the next day. Then her husband Chris ran into Nate and Jordan while they were on a cookie run and that paved the way for a great morning! Their kids, Max and Claire got along wonderful with Maya and Jordan and spent a good part of our time there just running up and down the Capitol lawn.

Jen and I worked in different labs but in the same wing of the VA Hospital from 2001 to about 2004 (my brain is a little foggy on that timeline). Her family now lives in Illinois, but they come up a couple times a year to visit family. This time, we were able to squeeze in a night at Archivers together!

Maya was a tired little girl by lunchtime!

Everyone slept great that night and Jordan even slept in till 8:30 Sunday morning. I, on the other hand, pulled myself out of bed and met up with Mara and Mike for a 9 mile run. It went great and I'm so thankful that the Pattersons are so willing to get up and run with me on their weekend off....thanks guys! Only 1 more month of training to go!
