Trick or treating in our neighborhood started at 5 PM so we ate supper early to make sure we would have enough time to visit alot of houses. Here is my little monkey and little kitty.
This year, Jordan was set on hitting as many houses as we could. But kids though, stayed away from any place that had spooky music on or motion-activated decorations. They definitely weren't fans of those types of things. That is why our house was filled with happy Disney Halloween decorations. : )
After about 90 minutes of trick or treating, we headed back home. It got quite cold and windy and Jordan even asked to go home so we knew it was time.
When we got home, we checked out all the candy and I let the kids each pick a piece to have. They both picked Dots, since that is Nate's favorite candy. I somehow convinced them to share one box. After they went to bed, I put the candy in one big bag and put it away in the cabinent, with the plan being that they could have one piece per day.....but they never asked about the candy again!! I don't quite understand how I lucked out on this situation, but I'm sure it won't be that way for too many more years.
i love the morning faces...they are precious. i can't believe they didn't ask about the candy...it took my girls at least a week to forget about it!
