Apple picking and a birthday party!

On Sunday we headed over to Milwaukee for our friend Lucy's 4th birthday party. Her parents organized for a school bus to take us all to a local apple orchard to do some picking. Maya was thrilled to be on a bus for the first time!

It was soooo hot that day but we had a great time!

After we were done at the apple orchard, we took the bus back to Lucy's grandparents' clubhouse for some more celebrating. When we were done eating lunch, it was time for cupcakes!

Happy birthday Lucy!

Nothing like bright, yummy cake frosting to put a smile on my kids' faces (and me too...I'm not going to lie)! Maya used a spoon to shovel the frosting into her mouth...I thought that was a pretty good idea!

Thanks to Lucy's parents, Greg and Sarah, for throwing a great party. We are always happy to be included in their celebrations (plus they always have good food!). : )
