Getting to Disney

I think the easiest way for me to write about our Disney trip is to devote an entry to each day. So we'll start with our departure day. The first picture is the 3 of us looking tired but excited at 5:00 AM as we left Grandma Lu's house. My dad drove us over to the airport and we were on our way...

At the airport, I didn't even need to bring out all the coloring books and other special surprises I had because Jordan was content to just sit and watch the planes.

Finally on the plane! Our seatmate who had the window seat didn't show up so Jordan got to move over to claim it. He did great during the plane ride - I think Nate and I were about 100 times more nervous than he was. We aren't usually bothered by flying, but once we added one of our children in the mix, it became a whole different ballgame. Both of our flights were actually quite turbulent, but again, Jordan was too engrossed in the Disney music mix I made for him on my IPod to notice. He also thought the fold-down trays were pretty cool.

At the Detroit airport during our layover. We got some lunch and spent alot of time practicing getting on and off the moving walkways.

We made it to Florida! Here we are on Disney's Magical Express, their transportation from the airport to the Disney resorts.

I wish I could bottle up the excitement coming from his face!!

Once we checked into our resort, we boarded a Disney bus and headed down to Downtown Disney, their shopping district. We headed right to the Lego store, which Jordan found absolutely amazing and Nate and I didn't think it was too bad either! They had any Lego set you would ever want to buy, plus a big area outside with big bins of Legos that you could play with.

After building for awhile, we ate some supper at the Wolfgang Puck Cafe and took our bus back to the resort. Although we all got in bed early that night, Jordan took awhile to fall asleep because he told me he was "so excited for tomorrow!". What a great way to end the night. : )
