The big room switch

Today my parents came into town for a visit. With their help, we were able to get Maya and Jordan into their new rooms! Maya is thrilled about her pink bed and Jordan thinks it's pretty cool to be up in the loft.

My mom dug through some of my old stuffed animals and picked out Rainbow Bear for Maya and a big Garfield for Jordan. The Carebear is nearly the size of Maya...she looks so funny carrying it around.

My parents also brought Maya an early birthday present...

Bedtime went alot smoother than I thought it would. After going through the usual routine of books, a song, chapstick/lotion with Maya, she snuggled into her bed and I said goodnight. I checked on her every once in a while and she was either looking at books or just staring at her room...she did this for nearly 40 minutes! But she is sleeping now and will hopefully stay that way for the rest of the night. Jordan transitioned perfectly into his room and was especially excited about the ceiling fan.

My mom brought us a very delicious cake that she made this week in her cake-decorating class so I am ending the night with a piece of it and a big glass of milk. Yum yum yum.
