Park, tumbles and too many grapes

I just realized I haven't posted anything since Saturday...yikes! Our weekend wasn't particularly exciting - the weather was kind of rainy and cold so we spent some time indoors. Our new project which we have just embarked on is moving Jordan's bedroom into the loft. Maya will then move into his old room. Maya found a picture in a magazine of a little girls room so now she shows it to me all the time and says "Pink bed! Pink bed!". I haven't showed her yet, but I have bought her a cute bedspread...it has other colors besides pink so hopefully she will find it acceptable.

On Monday, my brother Mike came over from Milwaukee to help Nate move some stuff down from the loft. Our treadmill went to our room and then they moved our big computer desk and loveseat down to the garage because we are selling them on Craigslist. The kids were very happy to see Mike, as were we. He is such a nice brother. He brought me some beautiful flowers that were growing outside his apartment, plus some yummy cake that my mom had made so I was a happy girl.

Today we headed to the park for an hour or so. The kids had a great time going down the "Whee!" (that's what Maya calls the slide - I'm guessing she named it for the sound she makes when she goes down it). Everyone was tired and ready to eat lunch by the time we left.

Last week, I was getting something from one of our storage bins in the garage and I came across one of my old Garfield comic strip books from when I was little. Jordan had watched a Garfield cartoon at Christmas time and really liked it so I brought the book to him to check out. He LOVED it! He thinks Garfield is hilarious and asks us to read it to him every night. This morning, he woke up at 6:05 AM and sat in his bed till 7:00 AM reading Garfield...we could hear him laughing all the way in our room. He told us that he think Garfield is just silly. I have about 10 different books so I think we're set for awhile. I'm going to tuck away 1 or 2 of them for when we have a layover for our flights to Disney.
Today Maya proceeded to fall down the stairs and then 20 minutes later choke on a grape so I am happy that she is safely sleeping in her crib. She laughed after she fell down the steps (I was not so joyous) and the grape issue was partly due to the fact that she likes to shove alot of food in her mouth at once. She is definitely one I have to keep my eye on. : )
