It has been kind of cloudy and rainy all week, so I was so happy to wake up this morning to the sun shining. It made it a little easier to pull myself out of bed at 6:15 AM when Maya was 2 inches from my face and saying "Eat! Eat!" She may be a tiny little thing but she can sure pack away the Rice Crispies. Jordan bounded into our room not much later and announced that he was SO excited for the new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse episode. A couple hours later, we were packed up and ready to go down to the Farmers Market. First we had to stop by Nate's work so he could fix something on his computer so while he was inside, the kids and I went to the botanical gardens that are right outside his building. The daffodils and tulips were in full bloom and absolutely beautiful. Jordan said they smelled like Play-Doh.

Once we got to the Farmers Market, Maya and I laid out a blanket on the Capitol lawn while the boys went in search of coffee for Nate and a cookie for Jordan. Maya grabbed my strawberry-banana smoothie and didn't let go. I think I got one sip!
Here's some other cute pictures of the little lady. There was a police officer stationed up by the railing of the Capitol that Maya kept running by and smiling at. She can be quite a flirt when she wants to be!

Once Nate and Jordan returned, we shared a chocolate chip oatmeal cookie and some kettle corn. The weather was perfect, about 60 degrees. Warm enough to not have to bundle up, but not too warm to have to worry about reapplying sunscreen! Maya spent some more time picking dandelions for her and Jordan (and the police officer). Thankfully this time, we did not encounter any bees. When we were there two weeks ago (on Jordan's birthday), Jordan started crying. We couldn't figure out what was wrong until all of the sudden I saw a big bee in his ear! Poor guy. He was very brave and seemed to recover quickly. : )

The rest of our day was pretty low-key. I had a hair appointment this afternoon and the kids and Nate passed the hours with nap-time/quiet time/online-poker time. Now that everyone is sleeping (including Nate), I am going to get some scrapbooking done. I'm working on a layout from the Brewers game we went to last year with my parents and Matt. I cannot wait till someday I have some more room to spread out all my scrapbooking stuff, maybe even have a room I can devote to my hobby! I have decided to start going to Scrapmania at Archivers once a month. Scrapmania is every Friday and Saturday and goes from 5 PM-11 PM. During that time, you can use their workroom and supplies and they provide dinner and snacks. I went a couple weeks ago and found that I got soooo much done. It's very helpful to be able to lay out all my supplies and have 4+ un-interrupted hours to work. I'm lucky to have a husband who supports and encourages me taking this time for myself. : )
