Wisconsin Dells Ducks

This morning we surprised the kids with a trip to Wisconsin Dells to go on the Ducks! We had gone last year for the first time and Jordan just loved it so I knew this year would be even better.

Jordan was captivated for the entire ride. He really liked when we splashed down into the water but he said his favorite part was going on "Rollercoaster Hill". Maya was a little antsy and didn't want to sit still but thankfully I had packed enough snacks to keep her busy. She liked the splashdown part too - as soon as we got in the water, she said "Boat!" and then stuck out her tongue and said "Cold tongue - boat!".

We were able to travel on Lake Delton and the trails surrounding it this year. Last year, the flooding in that area prevented the Ducks from being able to go on that part of the tour.

After the ride, we went over to Pizza Pub for an early lunch. Both kids gobbled down lots of pizza, as did Nate and I. It was such a beautiful day that I felt like we should find something else to do in the Dells, but Jordan and Maya were getting tired so we headed back home. Jordan spent the rest of the afternoon re-enacting the Duck tour with some of his cars. After Maya got up from her nap, she was very bothered by the fact that her pink nail polish had come off. I told her I would paint her nails again but she said, "No - Lu!". So apparently, my mom's nail-painting skills are superior to mine. : )
We ended the night with Family Movie Night. It was the girls turn to pick so Maya and I chose The Jungle Book. A very nice ending to a great weekend.
