A sleepy May Day

Today was a lazy day at our house. I was up late with a sick Maya. I thought I was doing a smart thing by bringing her in bed with me, but instead of cuddling up and sleeping, she decided to just roll around and give me kisses. She finally fell asleep around 1 AM but still got up at 6:30 in the morning. How do kids have so much energy with so little sleep?

In May Day tradition, I had fully planned on the kids leaving flowers on Mara and Mike's doorstep, ringing the door bell and then running away but due to my zombie-like state, that didn't happen today. Maybe we'll pick up some flowers at the farmers market tomorrow and do a belated celebration.

Here are some pictures from our trip to Chuck E Cheese last weekend for Jordan's birthday. Maya spent most of her time on the Bob the Builder car that is in bottom two pictures. Jordan said his favorite thing was the big climbing aparatus. That place seems so much smaller than it did when I was a kid (and when it was called Showbiz Pizza). But my love of skee-ball is still there!
