Monday's events

So today's game that the kids made up was called "Big Pillow". As you can see in the picture below, all it involved was taking Jordan's big Lighting McQueen body pillow off his bed, putting it on the floor, getting some stuffed animals and blankets and pretending to sleep. It kept them occupied for a good 20 minutes. I was invited to play but I didn't get to lay on the big pillow - but Jordan did make sure I had a blanket.

It was bath time at our house tonight which made both the little nuggets happy.

So as I was putting Maya to bed tonight, I was reminded of a little ritual that I wanted to mention on here. Before she will peacefully go to bed, Maya requests chap stick and hand lotion. Of course she can't actually verbalize everything quite yet, so she rubs her finger across her lips until I give her the chap stick (she prefers my pink Bonnie Bell lip gloss). After she applies some, she always offers to put some on me too. Then both of her hands go out until I give her a little squirt of lotion. After this early-evening spa treatment, the little lady will go to bed peacefully. : )
